[Bug 1256341] Re: Incorrect timezone displayed in System Settings

 

Here's a reproducer in pure Qt.

Build it like so:

  g++ test.c `pkg-config --cflags --libs Qt5Core` -fPIC

  Incorrect timezone displayed in System Settings

Status in “qtbase-opensource-src” package in Ubuntu:

Status in “ubuntu-system-settings” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  STR:

  1) Open System Settings
  2) Open Date & Time
  3) Select the Time Zone and set it to Europe/London

  The time and date at the bottom of the Time & Date panel are correct,
  but the time zone says BST, when it should be GMT.
