The sample centers the component into its parent center not the text
inside the TextArea. In order to achieve that, you should set
horizontalAlignment: TextEdit.AlignHCenter.

Bug description:
  The messaging app is using the TextArea in the compose message box.
  The text is not centered if you increase the height of the TextArea. I
  have attached a small snippet to reproduce the problem.
