Title:
Test for missing components in packages via autopkgtest (or autopilot)
Status in Ubuntu UI Toolkit:
Fix Released
Status in “ubuntu-ui-toolkit” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
This bug is a suggestion to use autopkgtests
(http://developer.ubuntu.com/packaging/html/auto-pkg-test.html) to
prevent stuff like Picker component going missing because of a typo in
.pri file happening again.
Unit tests are run in the build dir, which prevents detecting these
kind of things. autopkgtests (and autopilot tests) would be running
with the package contents only, which would make them more ideal to
ensure some sort of integrity of the package contents.
An ideal script would be something that does not need manual updating.
Is there for example some sort of 'index' file which could be parsed
to get a list of components that need to be included in the package
contents and runnable/readable?
