Title:
Frequently fails to connect to emulator
Status in Qt Creator plugins for Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in “qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
The plugin frequently fails to connect to an emulator. After giving
the boot message for ~20 seconds, I get the error message, "There was
an error in the device detection, please press the redetect button to
try again." Pressing the button causes the spinner to go briefly, and
then the same error returns. Despite this, the emulator starts and
functions correctly; you just can't interact with it from Qt Creator.
I haven't found a rhyme or reason to why it fails. Once it's failed
once, Qt Creator seems to need a restart before it will work again.
The "Log" tab of the "Devices" page doesn't contain any useful
information. (It just says, "Detecting device.." [sic].) Is there
some other place where more extensive logs are kept?
