[Bug 1394847] Re: Only display those relevant and stable emulator channels to the developers
The Devel Proposed channel is the Vivid one. We support 5 channels in
two groups. The RTM is the one what is targeting the first device we
expect to arrive to the market and the Stable-Devel-DevelProposed trio
what are the Ubuntu releases.
Choosing the Custom channel you cab create emulator from the channels
listed by the `ubuntu-device-flash --list-channels`
It was specifically requested by the community team to provide channels
for these 6 channels. Please find dpm and mhall119 if you wish to reduce
the number of channels.

Title:
Only display those relevant and stable emulator channels to the
developers
Status in “qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Currently, there are a few channels listed there when creating the
emulator. Some of them are very confusing to the developers like
"rtm", "custom channel". I think a developers may not exactly know
what "rtm" and "custom channel" really mean.
We need to change them to some more understandable names. Also, we
should not display too many. I think only list the tested and stable
ones with the meaningful name. Currently, we are going to use rtm
channel. I have found some of the reported bugs have been shown fixed
and released (vivid). However, I cannot find them in the "rtm". There
is no channel for vivid in the emualator. some of the fixes to vivid
are not backported to rtm.
