Title:
Manifest file with invalid syntax reported as missing
Status in qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Why trying to build a click package in the SDK, if the manifest.json
file exists in the target directory, but has invalid syntax such as a
missing ending brace, it is reported as missing, rather than having a
syntax error. This leads one to look for some reason why the SDK would
think the file is missing despite it being in the directory, such as
permissions or other issues that might arise from installation rules
in the build system, rather than looking at the contents of the file
itself to see they are wrong.
A missing file, and syntax errors in the file, should be reported
differently, as they are very different and distinct problems.
