There's no tricky workarounds anymore. A generic solution has been
pushed that works in all cases.

  Unit test aliasing of UbuntuShape

Status in ubuntu-ui-toolkit package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Evidently we have several issues in the aliasing of UbuntuShape seen
  with rotation, multiple monitors and even apps locked. These are being
  addressed on a case by case basis but difficult to reproduce. We will
  need to figure out a way to unit test them.
