gnome not passing number of fingers touched correctly to Qt layer

Status in mutter package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in qt6-base package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
while touching on monitor running with gnome desktop environment on ubuntu 24.04, number of touched fingers is always one less in the output logs on qt side.
Please help to support on this issue and let me know what logs are needed.

it shows number of fingers correctly in evtext, libinput debug-gui but not in the QT application
Issue was seen on ubuntu 22.04 but resolved after installing "Disable gestures 2021" extension. Same extension is not working in case of ubuntu 24.04. Any suggestions.
