Good to hear. Having similar opinions on this should make the redesign
of the UI easier (and faster).

If I recall correctly, we've been talking about moving the tabs page
to the bottom edge. In the previous mail I proposed to move the "show
OSK" action instead.
Anyway, thinking at the whole convergence story, there may be some
"pitfall" in the moment the app is running on a tablet, with the
desktop UI (i.e. multi-window mode), without an attached keyboard. In
that case, it might be hard to trigger the bottom edge gesture.
This is a point we should ask the design team, I guess...

Actually there's still the keyboard button, which may be redesigned
(e.g. remove the orange border - as in screenshot no. [1]).
The proposal of using a bottom edge for the OSK is meant to remove the
last button when running on a desktop. There are anyway valid reasons
for which we may still want to keep it, though (see above).

No problem, really! We're all busy! US High school is much different
than the Italian one but, as a university student, I can understand
what you mean. :)

I've been talking about this with Roman Shchekin (my mate in the
DocViewer team). He suggested to re-think at the tab list (on a phone
only a single tab "hint" is visible), but he shares your same
feelings.
I will spent some time on it during the week. Perhaps we could show a
button in the header which shows a popover with the list of the
currently active consoles. I will push a follow-up on this thread, if
I get something interesting from my tests.
Have a great week, Evan!
Cheers,
Stefano
