Hi Mark and Michelle,
Thank you very much, we are glad to be able to use again the Ubuntu
trademark.
We are thinking about using the phrase "Sabily - Ubuntu Muslim Remix".
We will definitely follow the Ubuntu Code of Conduct, and will ask our team
members to sign it.
We in Sabily project we have the aim to promote the use of ubuntu (and in
general the use of FOSS) inside Muslim society, and to let Muslim youth
participate in this movement of software freedom.
We hope we could spread together the use of linux and open source software
for Muslims and for the whole of humanity.
PS 1: The name Sabily means in Arabic "my way" and we took it from a Quranic
verse: "This is my way, I invite unto Allah with sure knowledge, I and
whosoever follows me..." (Yusuf, 108)
PS 2: By good coincidence the word sabily (also sabili) means, in the
African language Swahili, "freedom": http://sabi.ly/s/sabili
Best regards from Sabily team
