[Bug 1501480] [NEW] Secure delete option in File Manager ?
Public bug reported:
By altering permissions in Terminal it is possible to unlock the option
to delete files using File Manager. That does not provide secure delete
though. The sandbox protocols in Ubuntu Touch will prevent any developer
creating a stand-alone app for secure delete. In principle though, the
delete funtion in File Manager could be changed to a secure delete
function [with a suitable warning]; alternatively, two forms of delete
function could be listed - one secure, one not.
Ubuntu should lead on security, rather than lagging behind other
operating systems.
** Affects: ubuntu-filemanager-app
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
