  Shorts App crashes when fetching updates if "Use Google Search" is
  disabled

Bug description:
  Shorts 0.2.418 on Bq Aq 4.5, OTA-9.

  When the "Use Google Search" option is switched off, the app crashes
  when I hit the reload button. For a few seconds, the update dialog
  shows, but then the app just terminates completely.
