Writers: Update on Content and Review/Editing

Hi everyone!

Before anything else, I'd like to thank you all for the excellent work
you've put into the project :)

Writers, you guys have provided great content so far (kudos!) and we have
almost completed all of the initial topics to be included in the tour.

A few updates:
As discussed in our meeting (Saturday, Sept 18, 2010), the list of topics as
detailed in the Ubuntu Tour Wiki page[1] is good to go.
The only changes required are:
1 - changing Evolution (on lp:ubuntu-tour) to E-mails (this change requires
writing additional content --> provide short overview, introduce Evolution
as the default mail client, include existing Evolution topics, provide a
list of alternatives)
2 - update the "getting help" topic to include links to LoCo

We need to finalize the tour content (if it hasn't been completed yet). So
if you are working on a specific topic, please make sure that it is
completed.
If you need help with anything, just let the rest of the team know. I'm sure
someone will gladly volunteer his/her help :)

Once we're done with the initial content, we need to go over it for the
technical review, proof reading, and editing.
When doing this, I suggest that we keep these few items in mind:
- try to keep the tone of the topics consistent with the other content (not
so formal, direct to the point, easy to understand even for total beginners)

- be mindful of typos, grammatical errors, and such

The content has undergone several reviews/edits, so I'm sure we're almost
done with this. Just a couple more runs should do.
Once we've finalized the content, we can then go ahead and let the
translators do their thing (only a few topics have been translated as of the
moment) :)

If there's anything else that I've missed, don't hesitate to email the rest
of the group.

Thanks a lot and best regards,
April
