i think to bring Ubuntu to "normal" computer users the most important
thing is to get them where they are...and the first thing is the native
language of users. look at the adverts from Apple or Microsoft, all
adverts, in my country, for their products are in my language, so i
automatically have a natural relation to it.
the exisitng websites from http://ubuntu.com and other resources like
the tour project or the manual project are really great and powerful
publicity (in English-speaking countries).
why we want to reinvent the wheel?
why not translating all the great Ubuntu sites into the most common
languages and use the existing corporate identity, instead of making
something new and confuse the potential new user!

are here some people from non-english-speaking countries?

which languages did we have here?
perhaps:
Spanish
Portugues
German
Swedish
Dutch
French

any other?

let's try to bring Ubuntu to the people - there are so many people not
speaking or understanding english very well and Ubuntu definitely IS a
multilanguage OS why not the "corporate" ressources?
