Message #00374
Translation domains which need review & Languages which need locales
Hi UTCs,
I have updated the wiki pages with the list of translation domains for
Lucid [1] which need to be reviewed and with the list of languages,
which don't have locales [2].
In the first case the list means, that those domains are not recognized
when building the language-packs. The reason may be that the
templates/domains got renamed or moved, or that the corresponding source
package has been demoted to universe (in which case the template should
be disabled in rosetta).
As I'm busy with other stuff in the moment, I'd like to ask for other
UTC team members to help review the list of domains and document on the
wiki what to do with them, or if you can do the changes yourself, what
has been done.
Case 2 is a target of opportunity: for those languages, we seem to have
translations (but not necessarily translation teams yet), but no locales
available. That means the translations can't be used on the desktop and
language-packs for those languages can't be generated.
Things to do here: find out if there is already a translation team
available for those languages or if someone volunteered to do
translation work on them, contact them and offer assistance to create
the locales.
Many thanks
Arne
