  apt-get show gitg now says (with german locale):

  Description-de: Git-Repository-Betrachter für die GNOME-Arbeitsumgebung
   Gitg ist eine Anwendung zum schnellen Durchsuchen von GTK2-GIT-
   Paketquellen für die GNOME-Arbeitsumgebung.  [...]

  This sentence should be something like this:
  Gitg ist eine Anwendung zum schnellen Durchsuchen von
  Git-Repositories, in gtk2, für die GNOME-Arbeitsumgebung.

  (I'm not sure it is necessary to mention gtk2 here at all, but it
  certainly doesn't belong to the kind of repositories.)
