[Bug 964074] Re: Type your command does not appear translated in the HUD

 

I can confirm that, looking to the code:

"namespace
{
...
const std::string default_text = _("Type your command");"

I guess the gettext init (setlocale, bindtextdomain, etc) is not done at
this stage which explain why the translation is not used

Gord, could you look into moving the = to after the translations init?

Bug description:
  The default string in the HUD, "Type your command" does not appear
  translated, but it is present in unitys mo file. This happens on an
  uptodate Precise box.
