** Description changed:

Long german entries in the "system settings" of unity in Ubuntu 12.04
  LTS are displayed incomplete/truncated.

For example instead of the long word "Tastaturbelegung" only
- "Tastaturbegeg" is visible for the user. The error appears regardless of
+ "Tastaturbeleg" is visible for the user. The error appears regardless of
the resolution and the system fonts used. This issue also appears in
  context menus systemwide.

Is there any elegant solution from the development to change this
- behaviour?
+ behaviour? Perhaps, you can fading out the last, not visible letters,
+ and create the alternative to scroll the text automatically by pointing
+ on it with the mouse.

This "bug" affects all german ubuntu users and it would be too sad if
this "error" would persist in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS....

Screenshot of this bug ist attached.
