It doesn't work in this case though. See initial post. I can confirm
that it does not work. I am not sure if it is possible for us to change
the input? I guess it has to be done by the developer.

Title:
  translation wrong to german, says (j,n) but need to input (y,n)

Bug description:
  encfs asks for creating new folders with (j, n) in german "Ja, Nein"
  but encfs needs the english input (y, n) to work, see attachment.

  It's kind of confusing if people use the software for the first time. 
  Just add "j" to the inputs or change (j, n) to (y, n) 

  $ encfs ~/.foobar ~/foobar
  Das Verzeichnis "/home/tommy/.foobar/" existiert nicht. Soll es angelegt werden? (j,n) j
  Kein Verzeichnis angelegt.
  17:36:46 (main.cpp:416) Wurzelverzeichnis konnte nicht gefunden werden, Abbruch.

  $ encfs ~/.foobar ~/foobar
