[Bug 1562506] Re: Date in top right of screen displays as "Sun Mar 27 2016" rather than "Sun 27 Mar 2016"

I'm pointing out an inconsistency in the UK date format, depending on
whether the 'Year' check-box is checked in the 'Time & Date' window.

In this screenshot the 'Year' check-box is not checked, and the date in
the top right corner is in the UK format (Day, Date, Month) as indicated
in the example in the 'Language Support' window.

In the next screenshot the 'Year' check-box is checked, and the date in
the top right corner is in the US format (Day, Month, Date, Year),
inconsistent with the example in the 'Language Support' window.

Adding the 'Year' field to the date format seems to change the order of
the 'Date' and 'Month' fields. This shouldn't happen, should it?

Title:
Date in top right of screen displays as "Sun Mar 27 2016" rather than
  "Sun 27 Mar 2016"

Status in Ubuntu Translations:
  New

Bug description:
When the UK regional format is set system-wide with day, date, month
and year all displayed in the top right of the screen, the 'date' and
'month' fields are displayed in the reverse order in the US style. If
the 'year' field is not selected, the order reverts to the correct
  style for UK.
