Yes, this bug report is rather a *placeholder* report indeed.
I thought I should create this report to have useful tips to sort the strings.

First, the strings are still untranslated in 20180410 daily ISO. So,
let's install this ISO!

# Virtual Machine with installation

% qemu-img create -f raw xubuntu_fr.raw 10G
% chattr +C xubuntu_fr.raw # i'm using BTRFS on the host
% qemu-system-x86_64 -m 2G -enable-kvm -drive file=$HOME/Scratch/QEMU_VMs/xubuntu_fr.raw,format=raw -boot order=d -cdrom $HOME/Scratch/ISOs_daily/bionic-desktop-amd64.iso # (20180410 daily)

Steps:
French
French keyboard
Install (entire disk)
No update during the install, however `update-manager` asked me to install updates afterward.

The VM is up to date.

I rebooted with this host command:
% qemu-system-x86_64 -m 2G -enable-kvm -drive file=$HOME/Scratch/QEMU_VMs/xubuntu_fr.raw,format=raw


# Observations

Unfortunately, there is little improvement compared to the live session: only one string is fixed.
Besides, during the installation, the slides are not translated yet.

  Xubuntu - French - Bionic Beta2 - Untranslated strings in the live
  session

Status in Ubuntu Translations:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  # General information

  While iso-testing the next release of Ubuntu [1] in the French
  language, I noticed several strings are not translated into French,
  which is allegedly 100% translated! [4]

  I understand that some strings are handled by the Ubuntu
  TranslationTeam [6], while others are translated by Xfce's [7].
  Therefore I have roughly sorted them.

  # Solutions

  Correct the translations upstream in Xfce [5] if possible.
  Correct the translations in Ubuntu's Launchpad.
  I am a native French speak so I can help with translations.

  # Steps to reproduce the bug

  1- Download the ISO [2]
  2- Run it with qemu [3] or wih a USB stick (for the latter, `dd` the ISO)
  3- Select `Français` (French)
  4- Select `Essayer Xubuntu` (Try Xubuntu)
