Title:
Ardour's Italian Translation makes it impossible to use it
Status in Ubuntu Translations:
Won't Fix
Status in ardour package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ardour
I mean, it's totally useless. When things are done this way, things don't get better but worse. I've been using Ardour in English version for 2 years, and it does its job well. But recently, I re-installed my computer and found out that everything got translated to Italian. I mean, please, what's that?! Please give us back the English version! I don't know anything about the translator, but one can't use strings which are so long that they make program's interface expand over a 1280x800 screen. And even in the dialogues it's the same! And the texts, they are so literal that one can't understand what they refer to! One can't translate technical terms which make sense in English but do not in Italian. Please review this, and until the translation is useful, please, let us install the English one.
BTW, is there a way to change Ardour's language? I did not found any options in the menu (but the menu are not understandable, because of this bad translation).
