Hey lotuspsychje,

You need to got to your account, and then click on "Translations" in the
top menu.

There click on "Translations licensing", and then on "License all my
translations in Launchpad under the BSD licence" and confirm your
selection.

Then you are able to contribute to translations.

Bug description:
  Im currently trying to help contribute Ubuntu translations in dutch (as regular Launchpad user
  and not as translation team member)

  in the following link:

  https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jammy/+source/gnome-shell-
  extension-desktop-icons-ng/+pots/ding/nl

  i cannot see edit fields to enter a translation suggestion (see
  screenshot)

  i assume the default method is users can enter translations and then the translate
  team would verify/approve them?
