Hi again,

Hi, thank you :)
Where can I find more information about this team?
What I'm aware of is this section in the wiki:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/CoordinationTeam
Some info there is dated, but it may give you a hint.
Let me mention some things I have done in my role as translation
coordinator:
* Been attentive to, and sometimes fixed, translation related bugs.
* Addressed questions raised at the ubuntu-translators mailing list.
* Addressed questions and requests at
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/
* Sent call for testing messages in connection with language pack
updates in LTS releases.
One important reason why there is a need for translation coordination
specifically for Ubuntu is the arrangement with language packs. For some
packages, approximately those in main, translation files are stripped
during package build and imported to "Rosetta". So for those packages,
and unlike other distributions, the translations are made available to
the users via Ubuntu's language packs.
The arrangement makes it possible to update translations in stable
releases even if respective package is not updated. It also offers an
elegant way to make Ubuntu specific changes and additions of
translatable strings available to the translators. But it comes with
some complexity, and issues happen which need to be dealt with.
Is there a mailing list or something?
Yes. Actually you sent a CC to it. :)
It looks like you need to subscribe to the coordination list separately
at the bottom of this page:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-translations-coordinators
Please do.
And don't hesitate to use the list for questions about how things work.
Also, it's good if you set yourself as an answer contact at
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/
Again: Welcome! It will be nice to cooperate with a coordinator who is
actually a translator. ;)
