Ground Control is a desktop interface to Launchpad.

It may be useful for working with launchpad based projects if you're more
familiar with a GUI interface.  You'll still need to understand some basic
workflow and versioning concepts, but this tool really looks like it lowers
the bar to making contributions to projects.
