Ubuntu Global Jam Activity Proposal

Greetings from Ashtabula. Hopefully you have had the chance to hear the
latest episode of The Burning Circle. If not, grab such directly here:
http://ohio.ubuntu-us.org/sites/default/files/BC-24.ogg

I sound not so hot this week as I've got a respiratory infection. :-(

For Ubuntu Global Jam I would like to host a live-to-tape edition of the
podcast. The objective to the road program would be to gather together
members of the LoCo and have them talk about what they're doing in the
project. DEX & CUT are also matters of interest.

Out of the three days alloted for Global Jam, April 3rd looks most
doable and even then after 5 PM. My radius of travel is somewhat
limited to about 30-40 miles from home base in Ashtabula County at the
moment. This means the outer suburbs ring to Cleveland in Lake County
(i.e. Willoughby, Eastlake, Kirtland, etc.) is doable as well as
locations in Geauga, northern Trumbull, and Ashtabula County.

What would be needed for the event? Such things potentially include:

1. Attendees! 10-15 would be good to start with.
2. A venue with seats that is somewhat more enclosed than Panera that
also would give us permission to record
3. Cookies/starlight peppermint hard candies...if the venue isn't a
food service establishment
4. A case of bottled water...if the venue isn't a food service
establishment
5. About an hour to two hours. Recording need not necessarily happen
throughout the entire event but the limits on the team Drupal site would
require me to break things into 30 minute chunks if I want to maintain
decent sound quality.

Friday (April 1st) before 5 PM would also be doable but would require
some wrangling on my part to ensure availability of engineering staff.

Thoughts? Venue proposals? Leads on gasoline less than $3.60 per
gallon?
