The delay is 10 seconds. Is it too long? I kind of thought that a margin
is a good idea... You can test with a shorter delay by editing /usr/bin
/ibus-start

It seems to work for me too; so does Pinyin. It was Bopomofo I tested
with a couple of days ago, and it still refuses to work. So it seems to
be an issue in Quantal with Bopomofo, not with the whole ibus feature.
