*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1264493 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1264493
Copy/paste operations are WIP. See bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/webbrowser-app/+bug/1264493
The cursor issue is not referenced: can you report a separate bug for
this one?

Title:
Can't highlight text with mouse
Status in “unity-webapps-gmail” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
i upgraded to 14.04 and decided to try unity-webapps-gmail. It works,
although I can't use the mouse to highlight text. Although I can
double-click on a word to highlight it, I can't select text with the
mouse any other way. I'd like to be able to highlight text in the
messages that I'm reading so that I can copy/paste text into my reply
or into other applications. I also can't use the mouse to highlight
text when I'm composing a message---making it difficult to highlight a
sentence or paragraph and delete it.
A related(?) problem is that my mouse cursor is an arrow even when it
is over the email composition textarea---which makes it a little
harder to interact with the text area.
I have version 2.4.16+14.04.20140409-0ubuntu1 installed.
