  Window is distorted when it lays out on a size change

Bug description:
  This is most easily seen on the phone but also is present on the desktop. 
  On the phone get the OSK to appear and disappear. On desktop change the height of the window.
  The rendering is quite jumpy, it scales the text and images before changing the layout itself.
