[Bug 1555674] [NEW] Rendering is very slow on MX4 when scrolling on ubuntu.com
Public bug reported:
(initially reported by Szymon Waliczek at
https://plus.google.com/+SzymonWaliczek/posts/E6gdDxLDHYf)
Use the ubuntu touch browser app, or just a plain oxide WebView, and point it to http://ubuntu.com.
Rendering is very slow, and when scrolling up or down the user can see how the assets are being rendered tile after tile.
I’m not seeing that issue on e.g. the BQ Aquaris E4.5 (krillin), but I’m
seeing it (although maybe less pronounced) on a Nexus 7 tablet (flo).
Not seeing that on other pages, I’m guessing ubuntu.com’s home page
makes use of high-resolution and heavy images which somehow make oxide
choke.
** Affects: oxide
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
