  Miscounts number of messages in the inbox

Status in unity-webapps-reddit package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  I am, here, working on the assumption that the 'Inbox: Xm' thing in
  the dropdown from the envelope in the indicator bar is a count of the
  number of new messages in what Reddit calls the 'letterbox' (perhaps
  that's another bug :) )

  Even if I have some unread mail in my letterbox (such that the
  envelope on the Reddit website is red), the count of messages in the
  above dropdown remains at zero. I've attached a screenshot showing
  both.

  I've another bug open about this package (1059882), which I think is
  the miscolouring of the envelope, wheras this bug refers to the
  counting of the messages. I'm well aware that the cause may be the
  same, but the effect isn't :)

  In traditional step-by-step form:

  What I see:
  1) Have unread messages in your reddit inbox
  2) Click on the envelope in the notification area
  3) See the message count be zero

  What I expect:
  1) Have unread messages in your reddit inbox
  2) Click on the envelope in the notification area
  3) See the message count reflect the number of unread messages.
