[Bug 278056] Re: [i945gm] dialog window is opened in other screen
I'm not sure this is an issue in the -intel graphics driver but rather
with how applications handle multiple screens in a Xinerama layout. A
lot of programs just assume that you have one screen and so when they
try to place windows or popups on the screen, they just put it in the
center of the coordinates, which might be right on the crack between
your two monitors.
For the desktop wallpaper, this would be an issue with Gnome and not the
-intel driver.
Please file individual bugs on the applications that don't follow
correct behavior with handling Xinerama dual-head situations and we'll
be able to track progress on those bugs. Good luck!
