[Bug 373960] [NEW] OpenOffice.org Writer GUI rendering problems

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

OpenOffice.org Writer has a lot of user interface rendering glitches,
examples of which I have attached. The most common one I have
encountered is that buttons on the tool bar randomly disappear. I have
also seen dropdown buttons and buttons on dialog boxes rendered weird
after mouse-over (see attached images). All this happens pretty
frequently, though seemingly at random. Most happen on mouse-over, but
the "Button Not Rendered.png" image shows a glitch that happens
seemingly at random. These glitches come and go in a session, a lot of
times mousing over the badly rendered item will re-render it properly.

This has been a problem for me for a while now, since at least the
launch of Intrepid, but it has gotten a lot more frequent with the
upgrade to Jaunty, which is why I'm reporting it now. I have also
updated the nvidia non-free graphics driver a number of times and I
still have this bug.

I only really use Writer, so I don't know yet if this bug also affects
the other OpenOffice.org apps, but I will see if I can reproduce them in
Impress, Calc, etc.
