Hi , am facing the same freezing issue with video, and with compiz
(using fusion-icon)  after some time Restarting X , if going back to
xorg 1.5 will solve the problem and i can use fglrx I will do it . Does
upgrade the kernel fix this .


ati X1600 ( tried to install fglrx before but I purged it )
