[Bug 377206] Re: keyboard stops working in X

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

My keyboard stops working in X (KDE 4) seeming randomly..

  VT-switching still works
The keyboard works in console mode
After restarting X the keyboard works in X
Toggling the keyboard repeat in system settings a number of times usually makes the keyboard working again (toggle/apply/toggle/apply n times) without restarting X
If this happens when using a USB keyboard, unplugging and replugging it helps.

  This line appears in xorg.0.log:
(II) AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: Device reopened after 1 attempts.

  Dell Latitude D830
  Nvidia proprietary drivers.

  Same issue in 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04
