[Bug 373611] Re: Enabling extra typographic characters adds third keyboard layout
** Description changed:
I have russian and english layouts and want to enable typographic
characters (such as «»… and others)
KDE:
System settings -> Language -> keyboard layout
Set "Enable extra typographic characters"
my xkb command: "setxkbmap -option -option grp:caps_toggle,lv3:ralt_switch,misc:typo"
All works well, but when I restart system I get 3 layouts: english,
russian, typo (called "3"). And every time I start my computer I need to
call setxkbmap command manualy to remove unnecessary 3rd layout.
Kubuntu 9.04
KDE: 4.2.3 from kubuntu-ppa (http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/ppa/ubuntu)
Same problems with KDE 4.2.2 from official repository.
My friends use Ubuntu 9.04 (gnome) and have same problem.
I suppose this problem is in xkb.
