[Bug 154251] [NEW] Ubuntu 7.10 Live CD comes up with no display
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I cant lauch Ubuntu 7.10 Live-CD, after i boot the CD, it asks me for
the options (Install or Start, etc), and no matter which options i
choose, it just fails. After i Choose install or start Ubuntu, it loads
the kernel, then the screen goes black and stays that way. There is
activity from the DVD drive now and again, as though the system is
starting up OK, but it continues to have a black screen.
My computer is a Pentium M 1.6 (Dothan core) on an Aopen i915GMm-HFS
motherboard, 1GB DDR2 RAM, single 80GB IDE hard drive.
I have successfully booted from the CD on other machines. I also had
the same problem with the 7.10 Beta Live-CD.
** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Incomplete
