[Bug 383370] [NEW] Internet activity slows down wireless usb mouse
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.2
Release: 8.04
ASUS P5Q Deluxe
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 045e:00e1 Microsoft Corp. Wireless Laser Mouse
6000 Reciever
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8056 PCI-E
Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 12)
High Internet download speeds (up to my max of ~1Mbit/s) dramatically
slows down my mouse, it starts to crawl until the download is complete
or website is loaded (less noticeable on websites).
Mouse battery is full and a distance from the usb stick is ~0.5 meters.
When I put mouse right to the transmitter, it starts to work fine again.
It seems to be radio signal related, but why Internet downloads slow this signal down?
It is weird by LAN activity *does not slow it*.
When I connect my iPhone to the free usb port next to the mouse
transmitter, mouse also starts to behave properly.
I've tried varios LiveCDs, including Ubuntu 9.04 and the problem is
there. I've also bought new mouse but it is all the same.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-mouse (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Incomplete
