[Bug 382636] Re: glxgears randomly reports vertical sync, but isn't sync'd
Got more weird results today:
derek@dereksbox:~$ glxgears
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be
approximately 1/4 the monitor refresh rate.
7636 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1527.029 FPS
7814 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1562.751 FPS
7776 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1555.102 FPS
derek@dereksbox:~$ glxgears -sync
Usage:
-display <displayname> set the display to run on
-stereo run in stereo mode
-fullscreen run in fullscreen mode
-info display OpenGL renderer info
-geometry WxH+X+Y window geometry
derek@dereksbox:~$ glxgears
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be
approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
7732 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1546.356 FPS
7817 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1563.353 FPS
7461 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1492.181 FPS
1/4 the monitor refresh rate now!
