Well, I found the explanation for the drmDropMaster line here:

Basically it's just a warning, and should happen every time you switch VT. It should not give this warning with newer kernels (2.6.29 and newer - Jaunty has 2.6.28) Explanation here: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel/commit/?id=095a001f755201d3c19335b67a84c57b1d080a83 .

I would have expected a backtrace in Xorg.0.log (like in the forum
thread above) if you had a crash, but it's not there.

  I was testing Uxa on my Macbook 4,1 Jaunty

  Graphics quality: didn't notice much difference, possibly a bit sharper
  and snappier.
  
  Problem replicable every time:
  On resume from Suspend, I find I've been logged out of my user session.
  
  i.e.
  I log in, check I'm using Uxa not Exa ($ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log|grep -i uxa), and then Suspend.
  On resume, I find myself faced with my usual login window.
  
  This is the same every time, whether I click System-Shutdown-Suspend, or
  just close my Macbook lid, which I've set to Suspend.
  
  This problem only happens when using Uxa, never with Exa.
