[Bug 383822] Re: [i945GME] Karmic: screensaver causes xorg crash
The segfaults may have disappeared with 2:2.7.99.1+git20090602.ec2fde7c-
0ubuntu2 which included a couple of patches to fix segfaults.
In order to keep the bug reports concise and focused on the issue that
is problematic, I think it would be best if you file a new bug report
using the ubuntu-bug command. Would you mind doing that? That way the
crashes don't disturb the picture and we get fresh logs from the newest
packages.
Run `ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-video-intel` right after the problem
happens (or next time you log in if the system isn't responsive). Please
include the relevant log as attachments instead of pasting them directly
into the bug description or comments. It is possible that the bug you
are experiencing is a GPU lockup (freeze). The mouse pointer would then
usually continue to move. See
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-freeze-test for what
kind of information we would like you to grab in that case.
