[Bug 374258] Re: VLC crashes: X11 request 132.19 failed with error code 11: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Error: VLC exits unexpectedly when attempting to play DVDs
Expected result: Normal uninterrupted playback of DVD
Actual result: Program will exit when directed to play a dvd.
Method: On Asus Eeepc 900
1) Load DVD in tray
2) Open VLC, choose "Open Disc" and select dvd device
3) Press OK
VLC spews this in the console:
[????????] x11 video output error: X11 request 132.19 failed with error code 11:
BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 132 (XVideo)
Minor opcode of failed request: 19 ()
Serial number of failed request: 81
Current serial number in output stream: 82
VLC Version 0.9.9a
Ubuntu 9.04 Kernel 2.6.28-12
All pkgs up to date as of June 6 2009
