I still see this problem about 1 time every 2-3 days.  I have two
systems that are showing these same symptoms. I get a frozen display,
but pointer is still movable, only no button clicks are accepted. I can
usually get out to a terminal and restart gdm, in which case the display
comes back up as normal.

Both PC's are running Jaunty amd64.
System 1 is a Lenovo T400 laptop with i965 / GM45 Express Chipset
System 2 is a Desktop system with an old Nvidia Geforce 6200.
