BTW,

mplayer -vo xv ... -> blank/black rectangle
mplayer -vo x11 ... -> image, but no performance (unsuited for movies/dvds)

At present im using the vesa x11 driver (with it, 'mplayer -vo x11' is
suited to watch low resolution video (up to dvd), and xv is not
available ). I'm not convinced that the openchrome stuff is superious in
any way...
