[Bug 297387] Re: [i915] intel driver xorg not compatible with intel gma900

Thanks Bryce. I have downloaded the alpha version from your link but
still not working. The Ubuntu splash is displayed. Then, when Gnome is
supposed to be displayed, a shell command appears with prompt. I tried a
/etc/init.d/gdm start but it says [fails].

By the way, I managed to install Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix. The weirdest thing is everything is ok. I can use it except the fact that at each start of gnome, it says "Ubuntu has to run in low-graphics mode" and I have to say yes and xserver restarts. But by the end, it works. It is just annoying to say yes everytime.
Even the touchscreen is working, the problem is it is not well calibrated. I tried to run the Calibration utils in Administration menu. But I got an error saying I have to post an email to launchpad with the out of the command lshal (See attached document). It may help you.

If you want to make me some other commands to help you to find the
problem, do not hesitate. It is just i am just a basic ubuntu user. So
please, tell me the exact command and I will send you the result.

Thank you.
