I seem to remember a similar bug report saying essentially "I spoke to
Jesse Barnes (developer at intel) about this at the Ubuntu Developer
Summit and he said there was a fix for this already that hadn't been
included in Karmic yet". I can't find that other bug report right now,
but I guess the fix arrived with 2.6.31-rc1.
