  I am getting a full X server crash and restart in combination with the
  kernel error below:
  
      [drm:i915_gem_mmap_gtt_ioctl] *ERROR* Attempting to mmap a purgeable
  buffer
  
  and this error in the Xorg log:
  
-     Fatal server error:
-       Failed to submit batchbuffer: Invalid argument

  This occurs about once a day, and always when clicking on an entry in
  the bottom task bar; compiz is enabled.  Note that this is a Natty
- kernel in combination with Maverick userspace.

  Update: I just triggered the same apparent symptoms doing a shift-+ in a
  gnome-terminal.
