[Bug 415692] Re: I cannot disable touchpad tapping because there is no option on the mouse preferences dalog and gsynaptics will not run.

xinput can be used on the command line to enable or disable tapping, via
the "Synaptics Tap Action" property. There are also properties for
changing the speed, sensitivity, etc. See `man synaptics` and `man
xinput` for more information.

However, the bug report appears to be requesting a GUI mechanism for
adjusting these parameters, so I am reassigning this bug report to
gnome-control-center as a wishlist bug for requesting the gui dialog to
set them.

** Package changed: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) => gnome-
control-center (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Low => Wishlist

** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => New
