[Bug 397084] [NEW] karmic keeps dropping me out to the login screen
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I am using Karmic on an Acer Aspire One, am fully up to date with all
updates, and am currently experiencing a rather frustrating problem.
When working in certain applications the screen goes blank and the gdm
login screen appears. This has happened when using the calculator, when
using wget in a terminal, and when using vi in a terminal. I have
checked the logs, but have not found any consistent error message. Once
there was an error regarding compiz, which could be the problem, another
time there was an error regarding nautilus, but most recently there was
just an error saying that the intel drm module had reset the screen
resolution.
I'm a little baffled by this, and not sure which package may be causing
the problems.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Incomplete
