You mentioned the screen went blank - did it come back after a brief
amount of time, or did you need to restart the computer?  Was it blank
on the LVDS (laptop) panel, or did you have an external monitor plugged
in?  How many times have you seen this happen, and does it only occur
when using firefox?  If so, is it linked to viewing any particular
firefox page?

I also notice you're running a version of the driver from xorg-edgers.
Are you able to reproduce this issue when booting on the Karmic linux
kernel (2.6.30-rc2 or newer)?
